Life Long Learning Links
Our Life Long Learning Links are about creating a culture in our school that develops habits and attitudes that enable our pupils to face new challenges calmly, confidently and creatively.
We believe that pupils who are more confident of their own learning ability learn faster and learn better. They concentrate more, think harder and find learning more enjoyable. They become more independent and take ownership of their learning.
Our Life Long Learning Links are:
Be Resourceful
- I get myself organised
- I know its up to me
- I am up for a challenge
Co-operate
- I listen to others ideas
- I share jobs
- I know that together everyone achieves more
Be Curious
- I wonder why that happens...
- What is the evidence?
- How can I find out more about this?
Reflect on your Learning
- I know what I’m good at
- If something goes wrong, how will I correct it?
- I learn from my mistakes
Push Yourself
- I speak out and talk it through
- I take part
- I don’t give up
Think Creatively
- I use my imagination
- I know there is always more than one way to do it.
- I brave the unknown
Life Long Learning Links prepare pupils for the future. They challenge their thinking and develops a broad and balanced toolkit of skills enabling them to become effective 'life-long learners.'
