SPORTS DAY
Dear Parents and Carers
We are really looking forward to welcoming you to school tomorrow for our eagerly anticipated Sports Day. Given last week's postponement, we have been keeping an eye on the weather throughout the week and all looks good!
To help with the smooth running of the day, we would like to share some quick reminders with you. Please could you ensure that:
-
Children arrive at school in their PE kit wearing a top in the colour of their house (Gannaway - green, Yarnigale – blue, Holywell – yellow, Kington – red).
-
Children bring a water bottle to school
-
All adults stay within the marked spectator areas when watching the events (please see attached map).
-
No snacks and drinks are brought to school or shared with children during sports day.
-
At the end of the sports children go back to their classroom where you can collect them prior to the Friends of Claverdon School Fair.
During Sports Day, children will have access to two Rest Stations where they will have opportunity to go for toilet breaks which will be supervised by a school adult. Please can we ask that you don't supervise any children going to the toilet as school staff are responsible for children during school hours. Also, if children require first aid during the event, first aid will be provided by a school adult.
Finally, when you arrive at school, can we please ask that you do not go past the green cones at then end of the netball court until we have shared reminders of our spectator areas, visitor toilet facilities and our fire alarm procedures.
Once again, we are looking forward to welcoming you to school tomorrow - don't forget to bring your cheering voices!
Many thanks,
The Claverdon Team
