Pia-RoseYear 1
Pia-Rose
Year 1s star of the week is Pia-Rose.
She has made huge improvements since the start of the year and is now writing beautifully using her phonic knowledge to help sound out words. Pia-Rose tries hard in all of her learning and is always ready for a challenge. She is determined and focused which shows in her super results.

OliviaYear 2
Olivia
Olivia joined Year 2 after Christmas. She has settled in really well and has enjoyed making new friends within her class. Olivia has especially enjoyed music and this week learnt 3 notes on the recorder - and she has never played it before. She played it beautifully!
We are so happy you have joined our class Olivia - welcome to Claverdon and Year 2!

GeorgiaYear 3
Georgia
Our Star of the Week this week is Georgia.
Georgia always enters the class with a smile on her face, ready to start the day and takes on her role of register monitor with great responsibility. Not only can Georgia always be relied upon to be a most supportive learning partner, she certainly uses her time wisely to improve on her learning also. This has been most evident this year with her determination to work on her handwriting and presentation and also to improve on her spellings and application of these in her written work, something which she has been supported with at home also. Georgia, we are so proud of your approach to school life and your positive attitude to all that you take part in.
Well done!

JosieYear 4
Josie
Our star of the week in Year 4 this week is Josie.
Josie is a keen and enthusiastic member of our class. Her bubbly personality is infectious and she faces challenges with such a positive attitude. This week Josie has been working very hard on improving her presentation in writing and in maths has relished the challenge of division using the formal method. She is also kind and helpful to the adults in class and can always be relied upon when carrying out her classroom responsibilities.
Thank you Josie for being a superstar!

Dan BYear 5
Dan B
Year 5s star of the week this week is Dan B.
Dan comes in every day with a big smile on his face and is always respectful and so warm with his greetings to every child and adult. During lessons, Dan loves to share his knowledge where he contributes to the vast majority of discussions; this has been fantastic, particularly in science where he was able to share a vast amount of knowledge on the platypus of all creatures! The largest contributing factor Dan being our star of the week is his support of his peers; it has been particularly recognisable recently that Dan is beyond thoughtful with how he works with fellow members of the class, giving support to those around him in areas that he feels confident in, whilst also having the ability to create high quality work of his own.
We are so grateful to be able to have you in our class Dan, well done you!

LizzieYear 6
Lizzie
Lizzie has had an incredible year!
Writing, maths, reading, history, geography - no matter the subject, Lizzie always gives 100% and always contributes thoughtfully and impressively to our class discussions. Lizzie, your attitude is awesome and it pushes everyone else to try their best too - thank you! You are also an incredible member of our school council who is committed to voicing the opinions of every child in school and making our community even better! Keep it up… legend!
