EvaReception
Eva
We have chosen Eva because of the amazing progress that she has made with her writing. Not only has her handwriting significantly improved but also her ability to write a sentence spelling all of the words correctly, including the tricky words. We have also been impressed with how Eva writes little notes for others in the classroom. She has also been writing at home and bringing it in to show and tell.
Your effort in writing and your enthusiasm for writing has really blown us all away. Well done Eva and keep it up!

IsaacYear 3
Isaac
Our Star of the Week this week is Isaac.
Isaac has consistently demonstrated what an exceptional role model he is. During the year he has whole heartedly embraced our new curriculum and has shared his wide knowledge in our class discussions. The presentation in all of his books is amazing! Isaac's writing is most engaging for the reader, within which he is always challenging himself to use adventurous vocabulary and punctuation. He is a very supportive learning partner and an asset in his role as a UNICEF Ambassador.
Well done Isaac, we are very proud of you!

DakotaYear 4
Dakota
This week’s star in Year 4 is Dakota.
Dakota is our newest member of Year 4 and she has settled in brilliantly. She is bubbly, bright and full of energy and a real positive addition to the class. She has worked really hard getting to know all of the children and learning all of the new routines at Claverdon. We are very proud of her for just getting stuck in.
Well done Dakota – you are a superstar!

AmelieYear 5
Amelie
Amelie is an extraordinary member of our year 5 group being a very sociable and thoughtful person. Amelie throughout the year has shown her best self in many different ways, as a talented footballer and mathematician. Amelie is a hard worker and has recently been showing some of her creative ideas in her writing whilst working on a narrative. These ideas have flowed well and she has helped to give some great in class ideas to myself and Mrs Smith, as well as aiding debates by adding her ideas in History. We are so impressed with Amelie and all that she brings to our Year 5 class, thank you for all of your efforts Amelie.
-
GeorgiaYear 5
Georgia
Georgia is an amazing member of our year 5 group who is well liked as a thoughtful and caring friend. Over the past couple of weeks, Georgia has really demonstrated her resilience and growth mindset, offering far more of her own views to class discussions, which I know previously she has been intimidating. To add to this, Georgia has recently been flourishing in her maths and some of her written work too is brilliant. We are so proud of all Georgia’s efforts and her constant hard work which she is seeing real reward for now. Keep up the amazing work Georgia, well done and thank you for being such an inspiring member of our class.

EllieYear 6
Ellie
Ellie has been a positive member of the class throughout the year. She shows a conscientious attitude towards her work and continually impresses us with the quality of her presentation. She is thoughtful in her contributions to the class and has been working really hard on learning her lines for our upcoming production. Ellie has demonstrated great variations in her voice to make her character come to life on stage.
Well done Ellie!

Year 5 & 6 FootballMatch Report
Year 5 & 6 Football
On Monday 3rd July Claverdon played their final league match against St Marys Studley. It was the final match of the year and the last match we will play for Claverdon. This match would determine who would come out on top and win this year’s league.
Both teams got off to a strong start, but no goals came for either team in the first half. Mr Redwood kindly provided oranges at half time (left over from his art lesson) which changed the game for Claverdon! We picked up our game and manged to score the next 6 goals. Jenson scored 3, Sam 2 and Ben 1. The final score was 6-0 to Claverdon. Claverdon had won the league! We demonstrated a brilliant attitude, even when faced with challenging opponents. Thank you to William, Finley, and Archie from Year 5 for helping us achieve this. Oh and we think it all came down to Mr Redwoods oranges at half time that secured us the win!
Thank you to Sammy as captain and the rest of the Year 6 boys, we hope you enjoy lots more winning successes at your next schools.
Well done Claverdon – Top of the League!
