Oliver
Our star of the week is Oliver. We have chosen Oliver because he is very kind to his peers and has formed some lovely new friendships with people that he didn't previously know. Oliver also demonstrates what good manners he has every day using 'please' and 'thank you'. Well done Oliver!

JacobYear 1
Jacob
In Year 1 this week, we would like to choose Jacob for our Star of the week. He has settled into Claverdon Primary School brilliantly and is participating well in lessons. This week, we have been particularly impressed with his finger spaces. Jacob finds it tricky to remember to use finger spaces but he has tried really hard this week and is beginning to be able to use them more confidently.

HarryYear 2
Harry
Harry has had a brilliant start to Year 2. He has been working considerably hard on his handwriting, ensuring the letters are of consistent height and size. Harry has also been enjoying our geography unit called 'Spacial Sense', where he has loved discussing the importance of maps and creating is own for our school site. Harry continues to be an empathetic and friendly member of our class, always striving to achieve the 4rs. Well done Harry!

JacobYear 3
Jacob
Jacob has settled so well into Year Three. He has been contributing most thoughtfully to class discussions, taking the time to offer his thoughts, whilst listening to the thoughts of others. Jacob has worked hard on his presentation and handwriting, thinking carefully, so that his work is as neat as possible. Well done Jacob, what a great start to Year Three. We are very proud of you!
-
AmelieYear 4
Amelie
Our star of the week in Year 4 is Amelie. Amelie is a very conscientious and thoughtful member of our class who works hard at whatever she does. She is growing in confidence every day and shows tenacity and perseverance when she finds things tricky. She keeps going rather than the easy option of giving up. We have been particularly impressed by her English this week and she wrote a fabulous setting description of the imaginary forest in our book 'Journey'. Well done Amelie; we can't wait to see what else you achieve in Year 4!
-
ErinYear 5
Erin
Our star of the week this week in year 5 is Erin. Erin has been a joy, acting as a role model both inside and outside of the classroom, demonstrating our value of respect in everything she has done. Erin has also achieved academically this week gaining 10/10 on her spellings, scoring highly on her mathletics and creating fantastic works such as her history piece on the beginning of Baghdad. We could not be more proud of her efforts and are so happy to see her reaping the rewards from this. Keep up the fantastic work Erin!

Ellis - keep embracing our 4Rs and keep inspiring everyone in school... and you will thrive in year 6!
