ReubenReception
Reuben
Reuben is our star this week.
I have chosen Reuben this week because he has been in my reading group, and he has really impressed me with his prosody on our second read of the text 'Snug in a Tent'. Reuben has also been able to link the text to the real world and talk about some of the items within the story that he also has at home.
I have also been impressed with Reuben's writing as he has worked hard on his formation over the past few weeks and is noticing his successes.

LilyYear 1
Lily
Year 1's star of the week is Lily.
Lily is an incredibly respectful, responsible member of Year 1. She is always trying her best and listening in our learning and this can be seen in the improvement in her work this year. Lily’s confidence has also improved which has been so lovely to see. She is also an exceptionally kind friend.
Lily should be very proud of her behaviour and achievements in Year 1.
-
BellaYear 2
Bella
Bella has had a phenomenal week!
Bella has really demonstrated the 4R of resilience this week during our unit on History Paintings. Bella has worked incredibly hard to add detail, shading, and a variety of other artistic techniques to her pieces. Bella's drawings and imagery of the minotaur from Greek myths have been brilliant and it has been lovely to see her personality shine through into her art!

ImogenYear 2
Imogen
We have been unbelievably proud of Imogen's learning attitudes and behaviour this year.
Imogen consistently demonstrates our 4 Rs in all that she does and always goes above and beyond in the work she produces. Imogen has a brilliant attention to detail, meaning that she is able to include authorial voice within her writing and make cross-curricular links. Imogen has always been a brilliant role model for her peers and her ideas/opinions in class are greatly valued.

EllieYear 3
Ellie
Our Star of the Week this week is Ellie.
Ellie is a polite member of the class. She is a most supportive learning partner, responsibly helping those children that she has sat by during the year. Ellie is a very good friend and interacts well with her classmates. Ellie has tried hard with her learning this year and has worked on responding to feedback to make improvements in her work where necessary.
Well done Ellie, we are very proud of you!
-
IsabellaYear 4
Isabella
This week’s star in Year 4 is Isabella.
Isabella works incredibly hard every day, in every lesson and is phenomenal at taking responsibility for her own learning. She really does reach for the stars and challenge herself to be the best learner that she can be. We are so incredibly proud of you Isabella in all that you have achieved this year!
-
MollieYear 5
Mollie
Our next star of the week is Mollie!
Whatever the week is, Mollie comes in with new stories about a pet and looks to spread cheer to adults and children within the room in a very respectful and joyful manner. Mollie has shown great success this week in her history where she shows great interest but also understanding in the Victorians, the living conditions at that time in history and the workhouses. She has also continued to write beautifully, taking great time and focus on her as well as looking to use some very high quality vocabulary choices. Mollie this week has also developed her growth mindset, showing a real ‘can do’ attitude with learning her lines for rehearsal, but also recently with her maths where she looks to push herself when under confident in her understanding before asking for an adults assistance.
We are so grateful for having Mollie in our class not only this week, but throughout the year, thank you Mollie!

TabbyYear 5
Tabby
Wow! What a year we have had, we have two stars of the week from this week and our first is Tabby!
Tabby could be a star of the week near enough every single week with her calm, thoughtful and caring nature, as well as being the friend that she is. Tabby has impeccable manners which she shows every day to the adults and children in the room with regular check ins to most in the class, demonstrating her awesome work as a wellbeing ambassador. Tabby’s week this week has been particularly awesome though, she has shone when dancing during the performance of ‘Scheherizade’ and her singing has been equally amazing, being one of the first in the class to learn all the lyrics to each song and she sings with full commitment each rehearsal. Tabby has also really taken on board adult input this week demonstrating some beautiful writing in her draft narrative using some great vocabulary.
We are so proud of Tabby this week and this year, thank you for being an awesome member of year 5 Tabby!
-
AnnabelleYear 6
Annabelle
Annabelle truly has had an exceptional final year at Claverdon!
We have been incredibly proud of the way in which she has taken responsibility for her own learning and reflections over the last few weeks and months... but also for providing outstanding support for younger children throughout the school. Annabelle, you have also been a star in the production this week! Thank you for being so supportive and caring over the last few weeks... it's been very busy within school but you have certainly inspired everyone to be at their best!
Thank you and well done!
-
JensenYear 6
Jensen
Apart from Jensen's continued passion for Manchester City, he really has had an amazing week!
Jensen is known throughout school for being a champion for respect - he is always so welcoming and polite to all members of our school community. Thank you, Jensen, for inspiring everyone to have exceptional manners. Alongside this, Jensen's performance in the Year 6 production was truly outstanding... to sing so brilliantly, with everyone's eyes on you, is a huge and impressive achievement.
Well done, Jensen! Keep up the hard work and remember to enjoy every second of your final few days at Claverdon!
