AbbieReception
Abbie
Our star of the week is Abbie. We have chosen Abbie because she always engages in all the activities. Even though Abbie is quite shy, she always puts herself out of her comfort zone and will get up and join in. She did this in Maths this week when we were exploring using ourselves to make repeating patterns, e.g. white shirt, blue cardigan, white shirt, blue cardigan. Abbie makes a terrific friend as she is always so kind and caring. Well done Abbie.

TobiasYear 1
Tobias
Year 1s Star of the Week this week is Tobias for his amazing effort in all of his learning. He is trying so hard and is always eager to answer questions in class and to join in with class discussions. His engagement in science has been outstanding. Well done, Tobias!
-
OliverYear 2
Oliver
Oliver has been working really hard this week to achieve our 4R of 'Responsibility'. We have been really impressed with his continued, resilient attitude to his learning. He has really enjoyed our unit on poems this week, writing brilliant commands all about the beach. Well done, Oliver, we are really proud of you!

EvaYear 3
Eva
Our star this week is Eva. Since joining the class towards the end of Year Two, she has settled seamlessly into life at Claverdon School. Eva has developed a great growth mind set, always trying her best. She is a great role model for others, demonstrating our 'Four R's' most consistently. Eva has shown these values by always using her manners and showing great respect for others. She was inspired by a news item on Newsround last week and has raised money for the people of Pakistan who have experienced flooding. You should feel very proud of your achievements Eva, and we are very privileged and proud that you are a member of Year Three. Well done!

AubyYear 4
Auby
Auby is the Year 4 star of the week this week. Auby is such a hard worker and this hard work is evident in the quality of the work that he is producing in every subject at the moment. This week, he has wowed us with his ability to round numbers in maths and has also worked hard in science where we have been looking at nutrients, vitamins and minerals. He is a fun member of our class yet also has a sensible and mature attitude and loves to learn, which is a great combination for Year 4. Well done Auby for such a great start to the year.
-
RubenYear 5
Ruben
Ruben has had a fantastic start to year 5. He gives his all in every aspect of school and is a brilliant model student around the classroom working often to help his classmates. Ruben recently has been succeeding in his writing showing great resilience in his focusing particularly upon his handwriting, but also writing for longer periods of time consistently, improving both quality and quantity in his writes.
Ruben is absolutely an asset to year 5 both as a model, but also as a friend to those around him. Seeing him flourish so far this year, working hard in lesson to give high quality answers, but also with his friendships has been a joy.
Keep it up Ruben, we are both very proud of you!

HugoYear 6
Hugo
Hugo is a legend - there's no doubt about that! We have been hugely impressed with Hugo's attitude so far in Year 6 - in all lessons he is striving to be at his best and is always contributing thoughtfully to class discussions. His artwork for Black History Month was incredibly inspiring and it has pushed others to try even harder! Hugo, thank you for all that you do and keep up the great work!
