Teaching Arrangements for September 2024-25

Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this email finds you well. As we approach the end of the summer term, I am writing to share with you our teaching arrangements for the upcoming 2024-25 academic year.
We are excited to welcome both our returning children and new families to our school community in September. Our dedicated staff have been working hard to prepare for a successful and engaging year ahead and handover meetings for each class are currently under way. This ensures that our teaching team have an in-depth knowledge of individual and whole class needs so that they are ready to hit the ground running in September.
We welcome two new teachers to our teaching team. Miss Mia Robbins, who will begin her teaching career with us as an Early Career Teacher (ECT) and Mr. James Oakley who joins us from a school local to us in Stratford Upon Avon. Mr. Oakley is a very experienced teacher and will bring a wealth of knowledge an expertise to our teaching team.
Below, you will find the names of the class teachers and teaching assistants for each year group.
  • Class Teacher: Mrs. Bevan
  • Teaching Assistant: Mrs. Wade and Mrs. Bryan (am only)
Year 1:
  • Class Teacher: Miss Robbins
  • Teaching Assistant: Mrs. Price (until Mrs. Dainty returns from maternity leave)
Year 2:
  • Class Teacher: Miss Turner
  • Teaching Assistant: Mrs. Grice and Mrs. Sheridan
Year 3:
  • Class Teacher: Mrs. Salisbury
  • Teaching Assistant: Mrs. Smith
Year 4:
  • Class Teacher: Mr. Tyler and Mrs. White
  • Teaching Assistant: Mrs. Smith
Year 5:
  • Class Teacher: Mr. Redwood
  • Teaching Assistant: Mrs. Matthews
Year 6:
  • Class Teacher: Mr. Oakley
  • Teaching Assistant: Mrs. Matthews
As you are aware, we have had to reduce the number of TAs in school during this academic year, as we find ourselves in a more challenging financial position due to chronic under funding from central government. Therefore, we have had to be creative in the way we use TAs in order to target and support teaching and learning most effectively.
We believe that these arrangements will provide a strong foundation for your children's education and support their development throughout the year. Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
We plan to offer a ‘meet the team’ session when we return in September so that you have the opportunity to meet your children’s class teacher and TA. We will provide more information on this in September. There will also be an informal opportunity for you to visit classrooms in tonight’s open evening.
Children will meet their new adults during next week’s ‘Move Up’ sessions (Wednesday 10th), with the exception of Reception (Year 1 next year), who will have their ‘Move Up’ session on Monday 15th due to Miss Robbins being on holiday (booked before being appointed).
We hope you enjoy the last few weeks of term and that you have a wonderful summer break and look forward to welcoming your children back to school in September for another year filled with learning, exploration, and achievement.
Fingers crossed for sunshine for next week’s Sports Day and Summer Fayre!

Warm regards,

Mr. D. Powell
