Upcoming whole school events before Easter
Red Nose Day: Friday 21st March
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Comic Relief and we're thrilled to join the nation in celebrating Red Nose Day on Friday 21st March 2025. To commemorate this milestone, children are invited to wear non-uniform.
Children may want to wear red attire and, of course, their special edition Red Noses if they have one!
Throughout the day, we'll engage in fun-filled activities and challenges inspired by this year's theme, "Go Big, Give Big, and Feel Good," aiming to raise funds to support those facing the toughest times.
Comic Relief supports incredible projects and organisations that are making a difference for people across the UK and around the world.
Any donation you can make will make a difference. It could help provide shelter for those that need it, put food on plates, fill the shelves of baby banks, offer someone to talk to, or somewhere to be safe. It will go towards organisations supporting those facing poverty and injustice here in the UK and around the world.
We are encouraging children to make a donation of at least £1. Please donate via our 'Just Giving' page with this link: https://www.justgiving.com/page/claverdon-primary-school-2
Friday 28th March: Mothers’ Day Gift Shop
Children can bring in £10 cash.
Easter Church Service (all year groups including Reception): Monday 31st March
We warmly invite all parents and carers to join us for our Easter Church Service on Monday 31st March from 9:30 – 10:30 am. All year groups will come together for this special celebration, reflecting on the meaning of Easter through songs and readings. We look forward to sharing this meaningful occasion with our school community.
Open Morning – Friday 11th April
We are excited to welcome all parents and carers to our Open Morning on Friday 11th April from 8:30 - 9:15 am. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit classrooms, see the exceptional work the children have been doing and celebrate their achievements. We look forward to sharing this special time with you!
Easter Egg Competition Assembly: Friday 11th April
You may already have great plans for this! On the final week of this half term, from Monday 7th April to Thursday 10th April, children can start bring in their Easter Egg Competition designs in readiness for our assembly on Friday 11th April. This was a huge success last year and the children are very excited about having another go! Some important points:
- We are asking children to decorate eggs(…hard-boiled :D) and put this into ‘a scene’ – the more creative the better!
- Our House Captain leaders will be selecting the winners for each class!
- Please ensure your child’s name and year group are on their design!
- Every child that enters the competition will receive a prize!
Please note - This is an optional competition to inspire creativity and collaboration should children want to do it!
Take a look at some of these designs for inspiration!
We can't wait for these amazing events! Thank you everyone for your continued support!
