Year 1 visit to Brandon Marsh

To complement our science curriculum, Year 1 will be visiting Brandon Marsh on Wednesday 3rd July 2024. During our visit, the children will be learning all about wildlife, nature and the environment. The children will be led through four different activities across the day, teaching them all about plants, wildlife and taking positive action for nature, whilst engaging all five senses!

Children should wear a school jumper with old trainers and jogging bottoms/leggings which you don’t mind getting dirty. Please also bring items suitable for the forecasted weather (e.g. a raincoat and waterproof trousers/suit and wellies, or sun hat and suncream) as we shall be outside all day. They will require a packed lunch and a water bottle. We will be completing registration in the classroom as usual, and leaving at approximately 9:15am on the coach. We will be back in school before the end of the school day so the children can be collected as normal or participate in their usual after school clubs.

We are requesting a voluntary contribution of £19 per child to cover the cost of the session and coach hire. Please make your payment using School Gateway, where you will also be asked to confirm your consent, by Wednesday 26th June 2024.

Whilst this payment is voluntary we will not be able to run the trip unless the cost is covered. If you have difficulty making this payment please contact the office in confidence in advance of the deadline for payment (admin2017@welearn365.com).

We hope all the children will have an enjoyable and memorable day.
