Year 3 Ancient Egyptian Day
Dear Parents and Carers,
To enhance our history learning next half term, we have arranged for the children to experience an Ancient Egyptian workshop. This workshop will take place on Wednesday 4th December.
During the workshop the children will experience what life would have been like in Ancient Egypt in an interactive and engaging way. They will be able to use a wide array of artefacts and activities to view, touch and interact with. Last year's Year Three thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were able to build on previous knowledge alongside learning new skills. Please see some testimonials from other schools who have experienced workshops:
Dan Tastic Education lived up to the name - energetic, enthusiastic and above all engaging! The children loved all the fast-paced experiments and learnt buckets along the way - a truly interactive WOW day!
We had Dan Tastic Education come and do an Egyptian day for our Year 4 class. It was fantastic! The use of artefacts and practical activities helped bring the history to life.
We had heard great things about Dan Tastic Education workshops, but they exceeded our wildest dreams! They were completely involved with the children on their level, 100% engaged throughout the whole day. They haven't stopped talking about it for weeks!
To enhance this experience further, your child may wish to dress as an ancient Egyptian on the day of the workshop. I will provide some costume suggestions separately to this communication, after half term.
We are requesting a voluntary contribution of £24.75 per child to cover the cost of the day's workshop. Please make your payment using School Gateway by 20th November. Whilst this payment is voluntary we will not be able to run the workshop day unless the cost is covered. If you may have difficulty making this payment please contact the office in confidence in advance.
We hope all the children will have an enjoyable and memorable day.
